Seaside Shrimp Cocktail Pizza

Ingredients

  • Pizza Dough
  • Jarred Pizza Sauce
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Shrimp
  • Bell Pepper
  • Red Onion
  • Scallions

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Thinly slice the bell pepper, red onion and scallions.
  3. Peel and devain the shrimp.
  4. Slice the shrimp in half lengthwise
  5. Marinate the shrimp for 3-5 minutes with a tsp of Cavit white wine and white or black pepper to help cut some of the fishy flavors.
  6. Roll out the pizza dough into a flat round shape (can also do square if you like!).
  7. Spread the sauce on top and add the cheese (as much or as little as you’d like).
  8. Top it off with the thinly sliced onions, bell peppers and shrimp.
  9. Allow it to cook in the oven for 14-16 minutes then sprinkle the scallions on top and allow to finish cooking for another 2-3 minutes.

Before assembly allow the pizza dough to rest in room temperature for about 1.5-2 hours (dependent on how warm the room is). This way, the gluten in the dough will be relaxed and won’t bounce back on you when you try to shape the pizza.
Remember to preheat the oven.
Try not to overdo it with some of the toppings because bell peppers and red onions contain moisture, if you add too much the pizza might be “wet” even after cooking. It’ll be a messy slice.
