Sausage and Potato Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 lb refrigerated pizza dough
  • 2 small gold yukon potatoes(sliced in thin rounds)
  • 1 small yellow onion (sliced thinly in rings)
  • 1 green pepper (cut in 2 inch strips)
  • 1 cup of fresh mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 Italian Sausages (mild)
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 6 oz of tomato paste
  • 2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Mediterranean Herb blend
    2 tbsp of Pinot Noir

Instructions

  1. Prepare pizza crust as per directions on package
  2. Add 1 tbsp of Olive oil to saute pan and place sausage into pan. Cook at medium to high heat until done (about 10 minutes).
  3. Remove sausage from pan and set aside
  4. Reduce heat to medium
  5. In a plastic baggie place the sliced potatoes, onions and herb blend and close baggie and shake until potatoes and onions are covered in spice.
  6. Add other tbsp of Olive oil to pan and toss in the potato/onion mixture.
  7. Add the sliced mushrooms and green pepper to this and cover and cook until the onions and pepper soften.
  8. Stir the Pinot Noir into the tomato paste and spread on top of pizza crust.
  9. Add potato mixture from saute pan on top of sauce spreading it evenly over the crust.
  10.  Place the sausage slices all around the crust next.
  11. Scatter the slice black olives next
  12. Add the mozzarella cheese next covering the vegetables and meat.
  13. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese next over the entire pizza
  14. Bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes or until crust is golden brown and mozzarella cheese is melted.”
