Pairs With

Brussels Sprout, Mushroom and Gorgonzola Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup flour, for rolling out
  • ½ cup Brussels sprouts, thinly sliced
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • ¾ cup cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup baby bella mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
  • ¾ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup blue agave syrup
  • ½ tablespoon sriracha hot chili sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Grease 12-inch pizza pan with 1 tablespoon of the olive oil.
  3. Spread flour onto counter and roll out pizza dough to the size of the pan.
  4. Place dough on pan.
  5. In a small bowl, toss sliced Brussels sprouts with remaining tablespoon of olive oil, salt and pepper.
  6. Spread seasoned Brussels sprouts onto pizza dough.
  7. Layer pizza with sliced tomatoes, mushrooms, gorgonzola cheese and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake until crust is golden brown, about 23 minutes.
  9. In a small bowl, combine blue agave syrup and sriracha hot chili sauce. Mix well.
  10. Drizzle sriracha agave syrup onto pizza.
  11. Slice and serve with a glass of chilled Cavit Riesling.
