  • 1 teaspoon – Honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon- Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon- Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon- basil
  • 1 teaspoon – Garlic Salt
  • 1 package -Quick Active Dry Yeast (or regular, 2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 3 tablespoons -Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup -Very Warm Water (120 F to 130 ° F

For the toppings:

  • 1/4 pound thin sliced deli pepperoni
  • 1/2 pound 80 or 85% fat free ground beef.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • 8 ounces freshly grated mozzarella
  • 2 ounces freshly grated parmesan

For the sauce:

  • 1 8 ounce can of tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oregano
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Garlic salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 Tablespoon Basil
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the water and add the yeast in a large glass bow. Add the sugar and honey and let rest for 5 minutes until you see the yeast bubbling. If it doesn’t you killed the yeast. Toss out and start again. After 5 minutes, add remaining pizza dough ingredients together in the bowl.. You may have to use your hands to fully blend the ingredients together. Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  2. While the dough is rising, add the ground beef to a pot on the stove and cook on low to medium heat. Crush the dried herbs, a dash of salt and some crushed pepper, and add to the meat and cook until brown. Take off heat.
  3. Grate the cheese, but keep them separate
    Preheat oven to 425.
  4. Punch down risen dough and divide into 2 pieces. Flour a flat surface and roll the pizza dough into a rough circle. Place onto a pizza pan and pull into the shape of the pan. Wrap the second piece with saran wrap and store in the refrigerator for up to three days, or double the toppings recipe and make two pizzas.
  5. I like using the whole can of sauce, but you can use less if you prefer a less saucy pizza. 5 ounces works well for a drier, but still saucy pizza.
Crush the dried herbs and add to the sauce. Spread the sauce to the corners of the pizza.
Cover the pizza with the mozzarella , add the pepperoni. Spread the beef on top, the sprinkle the pizza with parmesan. (I also like to add that cheap shaker parmesan- it just adds a little something)
  6. Cook for appx 16 minutes. Watch to see when the crust is browning and remove when the crust is golden. Let the pizza rest. Cut, Eat
