Irresistible Truffle Mushroom and Arugula Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 3 tablespoons truffle oil
  • 1 cup sliced cremini mushrooms
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and use a rolling pin to roll it out to your desired thickness into a circle or rectangle, depending on your preference.
  3. Place the dough on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Brush the truffle oil over the surface of the dough.
  5. Top the dough with the sliced mushrooms and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  6. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the mushrooms are cooked.
  7. Remove the pizza from the oven and top with the arugula and grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Return the pizza to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the arugula is slightly wilted.

Use a good quality truffle oil for maximum flavor. Truffle oil can be expensive, but a little goes a long way and it adds a lot of depth and richness to the pizza.

If you can’t find truffle oil, you can use truffle butter or truffle salt instead.

Fresh mushrooms and arugula will add more flavor to the pizza than pre-packaged or frozen ingredients.
