Onion Marmalade and Crumbled Bleu Cheese Pizza with Applewood Smoked Bacon and Arugula

Ingredients

  • 1 prepared Gourmet Pizza Crust (such as Mama Mary’s)
  • Olive oil to spritz crust
  • 1/3 cup onion marmalade
  • 6 slices crisp cooked applewood smoked bacon crumbled
  • 8 oz blue cheese
  • 2 oz arugula (approximately 1 bunch) chopped
  • 4 turns of fresh ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh grated Parmigiano-Reggiano

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  2. Line a vented pizza pan or large baking sheet with parchment baking paper trimmed so that edges do not hang over the pan and will not touch oven walls
  3. Place pizza crust on pan, mist crust and rim with olive oil
  4. Place crust in oven for 3 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and spread onion marmalade over crust.
  6. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the marmalade
  7. Sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese over the bacon
  8. Reduce oven temperature to 425 degrees
  9. Bake for 10 minutes
  10. Remove from oven Scatter chopped arugula over top of pizza. Grind pepper over top
  11. Scatter Parmigiano-Reggiano over pizza
  12. Cut into wedges and serve
  13. Serves 8
